Yenagoa Township Stadium

Yenagoa Township Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Yenagoa, Nigeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of both Ocean Boys FC and Bayelsa United. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 people. It was rededicated in 2009 and named after former Nigeria standout Samson Siasia. Samson Siasia is a former Nigerian soccer player who has coached a number of teams and recorded a number of successes.

Southern Ijaw is a Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Oporoma (or Osokoma) in the north of the area at{{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:4|48|17|N|6|04|44|E|region:NG_type:city_source:GNS-enwiki | |name= }}. The area has a coastline of approximately 60 km on the Bight of Benin. It is the Largest Local Government In Nigeria (Landscape). The people and their language are known as Izon.

Bayelsa State

Bayelsa State is a state in southern Nigeria in the core Niger Delta region, between Delta State and Rivers State. Its capital is Yenagoa. The four main languages spoken are Izon, Nembe, Epie-Atissa and Ogbia. Like the rest of Nigeria, English is the official language. The state was formed in 1996 from part of Rivers State and is thus one of the newest states of the Nigerian federation.
