Tai, Rivers

Tai is a Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers State in Nigeria. It covers an area of 159 km and at the 2006 Census it had a population of 117,797. It is part of the Okrika/Oyigbo/Tai/Eleme constituency of the Nigerian Senate, represented since April 2007 by George Thompson Sekibo. In the April 2007 elections the Tai LGA recorded an implausible 99.6% turnout for the Governorship election.

Onne

For the island, see Onne Islet Onne is a port of Nigeria. Onne is situated besides Ogu Creek, a side-arm to Bonny River. It is part of the Odido Clan in the Eleme Local Government Area of Nigeria. It is a major port in the region and has several quays with facilities for cargoships up to 60,000 grt. Onne is also the main base for the offshore activity in the region, and a large number of supply-vessels call at Onne every week.

Aba River (Nigeria)

The Aba River is a river in southern Nigeria. It runs through the city of Aba, Nigeria. It is a tributary of the Imo River that runs through Okpulor Umuobo in the Ngwa heartland into the Aba City. Oyigbo

Oyigbo is a town and Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria. It is a satellite of Port Harcourt, lying a few kilometers to the northeast of the city. Sir Precious Oforji was elected Chairman of the Oyigbo LGA in 2008. Sunday Elechi Oforji was Chief in Oyigbo until his death in July 2009. Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) operates an oil well in the LGA. The Oyigbo people are of Igbo extraction.

Otamiri River

The Otamiri River is one of the main rivers in Imo State, Nigeria. The river takes its name from Ota Miri, a deity who owns all the waters that are called by his name, and who is often the dominating god of Mbari houses. The river runs south from Egbu past Owerri and through Nekede, Ihiagwa, Eziobodo, Olokwu Umuisi, Mgbirichi and Umuagwo to Ozuzu in Etche, in the Rivers State, from where it flows to the Atlantic Ocean.
