Nyongbyon County

Nyongbyon County, alternatively Yongbyon County, is a county in North Pyong'an Province, North Korea. It borders the cities of Kaech'on and Anju, and covers an area of 504 km². Kaechon concentration camp

Kaechon concentration camp (also spelled Kae'chŏn or Gaecheon) is a prison in North Korea with many political prisoners. The official name is Kyo-hwa-so (Reeducation camp) No. 1. It is not to be confused with Kaechon internment camp (Kwan-li-so Nr. 14), which is located 20 km to the south-east.

Kunu-dong

Kunu-dong (Kunuri) is a village located in South Pyongan Province, North Korea. A key battle of the Korean War, the Battle of Kunu-ri, took place there in November 1950. Kunu-ri was mainly a communication center and a railroad station at the time, and it contains the lateral east-west road which runs from Sinanju on the west coast and Hungnamon the east coast.
