Kumsusan Palace of the Sun
Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, formerly the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, and sometimes referred to as the Kim Il-sung Mausoleum, is a building located near the northeast corner of the city of Pyongyang and serves as the mausoleum for Kim Il-sung, the founder and eternal president of North Korea, and for his son Kim Jong-il who succeeded him as the country's ruler. Kim Il-sung University
Kim Il-sung University, founded on October 1, 1946, is the first university built in North Korea. It is located on a 37-acre campus in Pyongyang, the nation's capital. Along with the main academic buildings, the campus contains 10 separate offices, 50 laboratories, libraries, museums, a printing press, a R&D center, dormitories, and a hospital. During the Korean War the university was located at Baeksong-ri under Mt. Jamo in Suncheon-gun, which was far from the center of the city.

Korea Central Zoo
The Korea Central Zoo, also referred to as the Pyongyang Central Zoo, is the national zoo of North Korea. It is located near Mt. Taesong in downtown Pyongyang. The zoo has over 5,000 wild animals, comprising a total of 650 species, and covers an area of roughly one square kilometre. It was established in April 1959 at the instruction of Kim Il-sung.

Sŏsŏng-guyŏk, or Sosong District, is one of the 19 guyŏk of Pyongyang, North Korea. It is located on the Pot'ong River, west of the Moranbong-guyŏk (Moranbong District) and south of Hyŏngjesan-guyŏk (Hyongjesan District). It was established January 1958.
