Gol Station

Gol Station is a railway station located at Gol, Norway. The station is served by up to six daily express trains operated by Norges Statsbaner. The station was opened as part of Bergensbanen between Bergen and Gulsvik in 1907.

Torpo

Torpo is a small village in Ål municipality, in Buskerud County, Norway. Torpo is located in Hallingdal between the municipal centers of Ål and Gol. The village has 405 inhabitants per 1 January 2009. Previously Torpo was a stopover on the Bergen Railway. The station, which is in Art Nouveau style, is closed but still standing. Torpo is the site of two notable churches. Torpo Church dates from 1880. The church was designed by the architect Conrad Fredrik von der Lippe.

Tisleifjorden is a lake which lies in Nord-Aurdal municipality in Oppland county, Norway, as well in Gol and Hemsedal municipalities in Buskerud county. Tisleifjorden is regulated for hydroelectric power; the height can vary up to 11 meters. It is 13.54 km² in area and 32.53 km around. It has an elevation of 819 m above sea level.

Torpo stave church is a stave church located in Torpo, a small village in Ål municipality, in Buskerud County, Norway. Torpo is located along Rv 7, the Norwegian national road which runs between Oslo and Bergen.

Gardnos crater

Gardnos crater (Gardnoskrateret) is a meteorite impact crater in the area known as Nesbyen in Nes municipality in the county of Buskerud in Norway. Gardnos crater is 5 km in diameter, and was created when a meteorite with an estimated diameter of 200-300 m struck 500 million years ago. At first this site was believed to be a volcanic crater, but in 1990 two scientists discovered that it was in fact formed by meteorite impact.
