Siggerud

Siggerud is a village in the municipality of Ski, Norway, just a few kilometres away from the border of the municipality of Oslo where most of Siggerud's population work. Its population (2005) is 1,353, but probably over 2000 if you count the area around. Siggerud is a small place, but has recently hosted a number of celebrities, some of which are known outside Norway. The most famous is probably Lasse Kjus who won the alpine World Cup twice.

Åsnes og Våler

Åsnes og Våler is a former municipality in Hedmark county, Norway. It was created in 1849 by a split from Hof formannskapsdistrikt. At that time Åsnes og Våler had a population of 7,087. In 1854, Åsnes og Våler was split to create two municipalities: Åsnes with a population of 3,677 and Våler with a population of 3,410. Both municipalities still exist.

Hof, Hedmark

Hof is a parish located in the municipality of Åsnes in Hedmark County, Norway. The parish of Hof (Hof prestegjeld) consisted previously of the three existing sub-parishes: Hof church, Hof Finnskog church and Arneberg church. It had also included the parishes Åsnes and Våler until 1848, when these parishes were separated out to form Åsnes clerical district. The parish was established as a municipality January 1, 1838.

Flisa

Flisa is a small town in south-eastern Norway, and the administrative centre of Åsnes municipality. Its population as of 1 January 2011 is 1,622. For some time the log driver statue was the town's only landmark. In recent years however, attractions such as the world's longest wooden bridge and the world's tallest toothpick have been built. The latter because Norway's largest producer of toothpicks is located nearby.
