Bjørnsund
Bjørnsund is an island group located west of the village of Bud in the municipality of Fræna in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Located north of the island of Gossa in the Hustadvika coastal area, the main islands are connected via bridges and viaducts. The Bjørnsund lighthouse is located on the northern island. The islands have been abandoned since the 1971 and are now used as holiday homes.

Frænfjorden
The Frænfjorden is a fjord in the municipality of Fræna in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The approximately 12-kilometre long fjord flows from Malmefjorden to the Julsund strait near the island of Gossa. The villages of Malme, Sylte, Elnesvågen, Aureosen, and Tornes are all located along the shores of the fjord. There are many small islands scattered throughout the fjord.

Gossa (island)
Gossa is an island in the municipality of Aukra in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island encompasses most of the municipality and has a ferry connection from Aukrasanden across the Julsund strait to Hollingen on the mainland. About 80% of the municipal population (about 2,500 people) is located on the island. The 46.5-square-kilometre island is flat and swampy but it is well cultivated by farmland wherever possible. There are also some planted forests.

Hustadvika
Hustadvika is a 10-nautical-mile long section of coastline outside the municipality of Fræna in Romsdal, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the shipping route between Molde and Kristiansund. The area is shallow and is full of little islands and reefs. The area includes the waters off of Bud and Bjørnsund in the southwest and Hustad and Kvitholmen in the northeast. This is considered one of the most dangerous parts of the Norwegian coast, and many ships have been wrecked along it.

Julsund
Julsundet is a 15-kilometre long strait between the North Atlantic Ocean and the Romsdalsfjord, about 15 minutes west of Molde, Norway. It runs through the municipalities of Fræna, Aukra, Molde, and Midsund, flowing north-south from Bud to Julneset (in Molde). It is between the Romsdal peninsula and the islands of Otrøya and Gossa. The strait is up to 500 metres deep and it is 2 to 3 kilometres (to mi) wide. It has a significant tidal current and is exposed to strong northerly winds.
