Kolåstinden

Kolåstinden is a mountain in the municipality of Ørsta in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located where the Romedalen and Standaldalen valleys converge, about 5.5 kilometres west of the village of Store Standal and the Hjørundfjorden. The summit is most easily reached from the area around Standalhytta på Standaleidet. It is easiest to reach the peak in the winter and spring on skis, in the summer ropes are recommended for the glacier crossing.

Sunnmørsalpene is a collective term for the mountains range in Sunnmøre, Norway. The mountain range encircles the Hjørundfjorden in the municipalities of Volda, Ørsta, Stranda, and Sykkylven. These mountains have peaks reaching 1,700 metres straight up from the fjord. The most well-known peaks are Slogen, Randers Topp, Jakta, Kolåstinden, Hornindalsrokken, Kvitegga, Skårasalen, and Råna.

Hjørundfjorden

Hjørundfjorden is a fjord in the traditional district of Sunnmøre in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 35-kilometre long fjord is an arm of the larger Storfjord that stretches south from Ålesund. Villages along the shores of the fjord include Leira, Sæbø, and Store Standal. Hjørundfjorden is surrounded by the Sunnmørsalpene mountain range in the municipalities of Ørsta and Sykkylven, with mountain peaks reaching 1,700 metres straight up from the fjord, including Skårasalen and Jakta.

Skårasalen

Skårasalen is a mountain in the municipality of Ørsta in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 1,542-metre tall mountain has the seventh largest prominence of all mountains in Norway. The mountain is located about 5 kilometres south of the village of Sæbø and the Bondalen valley in the Hjørundfjord area of Ørsta. The nearby mountain, Jakta, lies directly to the east on the opposite side of the fjord.

Sykkylvsfjorden

Sykkylvsfjorden is a fjord in the municipality of Sykkylven in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The fjord is a branch off of the Storfjord. The villages of Sykkylven, Ikornnes, and Straumgjerde lie along the shores of the fjord. The Sykkylven Bridge crosses the fjord between Sykkylven and Ikornnes. The deepest point in the fjord is 247 metres below sea level, near where it joins the Storfjord.
