Fornes Chapel

Fornes Chapel is a chapel in the municipality of Andøy in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Fornes on the island of Hinnøya. The church is part of the Dverberg parish in the Vesterålen deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white wooden chapel was built in 1965 to serve the part of Andøy located on Hinnøya island. The church seats about 120 people.

Forfjord

Forfjord is a fjord on the west side of Hinnøya island in Vesterålen in Northern Norway. Forfjord has about 70 inhabitants and is located 30 kilometers from Sortland and 70 kilometers from Andenes. The name is derived from its pine forest, as "Furu" and "Forra" translates to pine tree.

Risøysundet

Risøysundet is a strait between the islands of Andøya and Hinnøya in the Vesterålen archipelago in Norway. It is located in the municipality of Andøy in Nordland county. The 24-kilometre long strait has only one road crossing: the Andøy Bridge as part of the Norwegian County Road 82 connecting the villages of Risøyhamn and Dragnes. The strait flows between the Gavlfjorden/Sortlandssundet in the southwest and the Andfjorden in the northeast.

Kvalsaukan Bridge

Kvalsaukan Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Hognfjorden in the municipality of Sortland in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the road between Sortland and Andøy. The bridge is 425 metres long and the maximum clearance to the sea is 8 metres . Kvalsaukan Bridge was opened in 1975. It was one of four bridges that were built in the 1970s to connect the islands of Vesterålen to each other.

Andøy Bridge is a cantilever road bridge that crosses the Risøysundet strait between the islands of Andøya and Hinnøya in Nordland county, Norway. The northern end of the bridge is located in the village of Risøyhamn. The bridge is 750 metres long, the main span is 110 metres, and the maximum clearance to the sea is 30 metres . The bridge has 21 spans. Andøy Bridge was opened in 1974. It was one of four bridges that were built in the 1970s to connect the islands of Vesterålen to each other.
