Skålvær

Skålvær are a group of islands in the municipality of Alstahaug in Nordland county, Norway. The islands are located in the western part of Alstahaug, about 15 kilometres northwest of Tjøtta and about 15 kilometres south of Silvalen. They were formerly a part of Vega, but in 1971 it was transferred to Alstahaug. Skålvær was once a thriving trading post and had many residents, but it has since declined in importance. Today, much of Skålvær is an outdoor recreation area for Alstahaug municipality.

Husvær Chapel is a chapel in the municipality of Herøy in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the Husvær island group. The church is part of the Herøy parish in the Nord-Helgeland deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The wooden chapel was built in 1936 and it seats about 80 people.

Husvær

Husvær is an island group in the municipality of Herøy in Nordland county, Norway. The islands are located about 10 kilometres southwest of the municipal center of Silvalen. The Sandværet islands lie about 5 kilometres west of Husvær. The islands have one main road connecting several of the populated islands together with a ferry link at the eastern end. The main populated islands are Husvær, Prestøya, and Brasøya. Husvær Chapel offers several worship services each year.

MS Rigel

M/S Rigel was a Norwegian vessel built in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1924. The vessel was sunk by British Fleet Air Arm aircraft off Norway on 27 November 1944 during the Second World War.
