Bøverdal
Bøverdal is a valley in Lom municipality in the county of Oppland, Norway. For many centuries a route went from Lom village up through Bøverdal and down into Sogn. The 34 meter tall Saga Column, was erected in Bøverdalen in 1992. The history of the column is very convoluted. It started in 1926, when sculptor Wilhelm Rasmussen (1879–1965) won the competition for a monument celebrating the Norwegian Constitution. The column was originally intended to be placed by the Norwegian parliament in Oslo.
