Ritland crater

The Ritland crater is an impact crater located at the farm Ritland in Hjelmeland, Norway. It is about 2 km in diameter, and was created when a meteorite with an estimated diameter of 100 m struck 500–600 million years ago. The crater was later buried by sediments, of which it has been partly recovered. The structure was first discovered as a possible (suspected) impact crater in 2000 by geologist Fridtjof Riis. The Research Council of Norway has funded scientific research of the crater.

Kjerag

Kjerag or Kiragg is a Norwegian mountain, located in Lysefjorden, in Forsand municipality, Ryfylke, Rogaland. Its highest point is 1110 m above sea level, but its northern drop to Lysefjorden attracts most visitors. The drop is 984 m and it is also the site of Kjeragbolten, a 5 m³ stone located between two rocks. Kjerag is a popular hiking destination.

Lysefjord

Lysefjord (or Lysefjorden, the suffix "-en" is a form of the definite article in the Norwegian language) is a fjord located in Forsand in Ryfylke in south-western Norway. The name means light fjord, and is said to be derived from the lightly coloured granite rocks along its sides. The fjord was carved by the action of glaciers in the ice ages and was flooded by the sea when the later glaciers retreated.

Erfjord

Erfjord is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It was created when the municipality Jelsa was split in two on January 1, 1914. Erfjord had 617 inhabitants by the time of the creation. On January 1, 1965 Erfjord (then with 610 inhabitants) was merged with Sand and Suldal as well as parts of Jelsa and Imsland. The new municipality was named Suldal.
