Jonsvatnet

Jonsvatnet is a lake in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. Most of the lake is in the eastern part of the municipality of Trondheim, with a very small part of the shoreline belonging to Malvik municipality. The lake is the main source for drinking water for Trondheim.

Ranheim

Ranheim is a residential area located approximately 6 kilometers to the east of the centre of Trondheim, Norway. It comprises places such as Olderdalen, Væretrøa, Reppe and Vikåsen. Historically, Ranheim is a working class community due to paper production at the local paper mill, where an overwhelming majority of Ranheim residents worked. Today, however, it is mostly middle class in composition and most residents work elsewhere. Ranheim Church was built 1933.

Rotvoll Station

Rotvoll is a railway station on the Nordland Line at Rotvoll in Trondheim, Norway. It is served by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail operated by the Norwegian State Railways (NSB) with hourly service to Trondheim and Steinkjer. The station is located beside the Statoil offices at Rotvoll and teacher college department at Sør-Trøndelag University College. Bus connections are also available with Team Trafikk.

Leangen

Located in eastern Trondheim, Norway. Is mainly an industrial area, and the Leangen Ice Hall (ice hockey stadium), IKEA as well as part of the Sør-Trøndelag University College college lies here.

Rotvoll

Rotvoll is an area of Trondheim, Norway located between Leangen to the west and Ranheim to the east. The area has some suburban housing and is otherwise dominated by the Statoil research facility and Sør-Trøndelag University College campus for teacher training. Rotvoll is served by city buses and by Rotvoll Station on Trønderbanen, the commuter train in Trøndelag.
