Kvenvær Church
Kvenvær church is a parish church in the municipality of Hitra in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The church is located in the village of Kvenvær on the northwestern coast of the island of Hitra. The church was consecrated in 1909. The decision to build the church was done by royal decree on 14 March 1908 and the church was built on the Steine farm at Kvenvær village. The new church replaced the old Kvenvær church on the island of Hakkebuøya west of Kvenvær.

Forsnes Chapel
Forsnes chapel is a chapel in the municipality of Hitra in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The chapel is located in the village of Forsnes on the southwestern coast of the island of Hitra. The new Kvenvær church was built at Kvenvær on Hitra in 1909, but the old Kvenvær church remained on the island of Hakkebuøya west of Kvenvær where it had been since the mid-1400s. The church was unused from 1909 until 1934 when the building was deconstructed, moved, and rebuilt as the Forsnes chapel in Forsnes.

Bispøyan is a group of islands in the municipality of Hitra in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. They are located north of Kvenvær on the island of Hitra, and northwest of the island of Helgbustadøya. The largest islands include Burøya, Olderøya, Monsøya, and Henriksøya. The rocky islands are now all uninhabited, but the many homes on them are used as summer vacation homes.

It is an island located in the Straumsfjorden just off the northwestern coast of the island of Hitra, just east of the Bispøyan islands, about 10 kilometres northeast of the village of Kvenvær, and about 8 kilometres southwest of Melandsjøen.
