Gaustatoppen
Gaustatoppen is the highest mountain in the county Telemark in Norway. The view from the summit is impressive, as one can see an area of approximately 60,000 km², one sixth of Norways mainland. There is an elevator system inside the mountain, built for military purposes, that lately has become accessible to the public. This ascends from the base of the mountain almost to the summit. The mountain is popular for downhill skiing in winter, and competitions have been held on its slopes.

Rjukan
Rjukan is a town and the administrative center of Tinn municipality in Telemark. It is situated in Vestfjorddalen, between Møsvatn and Tinnsjå, and got its name after Rjukanfossen ("The Smoking Waterfall") west of the town. The Tinn municipality council granted township status for Rjukan in 1996. The town has 3,386 inhabitants (Jan. 2007).

Rjukan Station
Rjukan Station is the terminal railway station of the Rjukan Line, located at Rjukan in Tinn, Norway. The station opened as part of the railway on 9 August 1909 as Saaheim, until renaming to Rjukan on 15 November 1912. It was rebuilt 1959-60 and closed on 5 July 1991; after the closing the local radio station Radio Rjukan has moved into the building.

Tinnsjå
Tinnsjå (Tinnsjø, Tinnsjøen, Lake Tinn) is one of the largest lakes in Norway. It is located between the municipalities of Tinn and Notodden in Telemark county. At its source in the west, the Måna river flows out of Møsvatn and past Rjukan into Tinnsjå. From the north, the river Mår flows from the Mår, Gøystavatn, and Kalhovdfjorden lakes into Tinnsjå. Tinnsjå is part of the Skiensvassdrag, and drains via the Tinnelva river in the south, down to Heddalsvatn.
