Tinnsjå

Tinnsjå (Tinnsjø, Tinnsjøen, Lake Tinn) is one of the largest lakes in Norway. It is located between the municipalities of Tinn and Notodden in Telemark county. At its source in the west, the Måna river flows out of Møsvatn and past Rjukan into Tinnsjå. From the north, the river Mår flows from the Mår, Gøystavatn, and Kalhovdfjorden lakes into Tinnsjå. Tinnsjå is part of the Skiensvassdrag, and drains via the Tinnelva river in the south, down to Heddalsvatn.

Rudsgrendi

Rudsgrendi is a village in the municipality of Notodden, Norway. It is located on the western shore of Tinnsjå, halfway between Gransherad and Rjukan. On the opposite side of the lake lies Hovin. In the mid-nineteenth century Rudsgrendi was administratively a part of Tinn, but the area became a part of the new municipality Gransherad in 1860. In 1886 Hovin was separated from Gransherad to form a municipality of its own.

Bletoppen

Bletoppen is a mountain in Tinn, Telemark, Norway, and is the highest point in the mountain area Blefjell. From the summit there is a view to Jonsknuten and Skrimfjella in southeast, Lifjell in southwest, Gaustatoppen in west, and Hardangervidda in north west. The summit is most easily reached by following a marked trail from the parking lot at Nordstul, 3 to 4 hours hike in the summer. Numerous shorter paths starts at the road to Fosskard and goes up the steep western side of Blefjell.

Blefjell

Blefjell is a mountain area at the border between Buskerud and Telemark in Norway, and encompasses parts of the five municipalities Rollag, Flesberg, Kongsberg, Notodden and Tinn. The highest point is Bletoppen at 1342 meters above sea level. The area is a popular tourist destination, being approximately 1 hour drive from Kongsberg.

Numedal

Numedal is a traditional district and valley Buskerud, Norway. Running north–south, it extends between Kongsberg in the south to Rødberg in the north, passing through the municipalities of Kongsberg, Flesberg, Rollag and Nore og Uvdal.. The river Numedalslågen, the third-longest in the country, flows through the valley before discharging into Oslofjord at Larvik. As of 1 July 2004 the population of Numedal was 6,631, but the population has been consistently decreasing.
