Lundenes Church is a parish church in the municipality of Harstad in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the village of Lundenes on the island of Grytøya. The church is part of the Grytøy parish in the Trondenes deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The red wooden church was built in 1974 by the architect Osvald Flakstad. The church seats about 200 people.

Sandsøya or Sandsøy is an island in the municipality of Harstad in Troms county, Norway. The island lies east of Grytøya and southeast of Bjarkøya, and has an area of 10.8 square kilometres . The highest point on the island is the 212-metre Veten. In 2001, Sandsøya had 107 inhabitants. The island settlement is very old trading post and church village, a part of the former municipality of Bjarkøy. Sandsøy Church is located on the western side of the island in the village of Sandsøy.

The Bjarkøy Fixed Link is a proposed fixed link which would connect the three islands of Bjarkøya, Sandsøya, and Grytøya in the municipality of Harstad in Troms county, Norway. Grytøya and Bjarkøya would be connected by a subsea road tunnel and a bridge would connect Grytøya and Sandsøya. The tunnel to Bjarkøya would be 3.5 kilometres long. The bridge to Grytøya would be 300 metres long plus a 900-metre long causeway.
