Røyknes is a village in the municipality of Vennesla in Vest-Agder, Norway, on the river Otra's west bank. It has about 100 inhabitants. Røyknes is also the terminus station of the Setesdalsbanen heritage railway from Grovane.

Grovane

Grovane is a railway village in Vennesla, Norway. Grovane Station on Sørlandsbanen and former station on Setesdalsbanen. Today, Setesdalsbanen (first opened 1885, closed 1962) is a heritage railway and a railway museum with steam trains serving the 8 km line between Grovane and Røyknes. Four steam locomotives from 1894-1902 are preserved, along with a number of passenger and freight cars.

Kilefjorden

Kilefjorden is a lake in the municipalities of Evje og Hornnes and Iveland in Aust-Agder county and Vennesla in Vest-Agder county, Norway. The lake is part of the Otra river and was home to the steamship Bjoren from 1866–1896 when it was moved to the Byglandsfjorden. The lake is located about 6 kilometres west of the village of Birketveit in Iveland, about 2.5 kilometres north of the village of Hægeland, and about 15 kilometres south of the village of Hornnes.
