Barka, Oman
Barka is a coastal town in the region Al Bāţinah, in northern Oman. It is located at about {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:23|42|33|N|57|53|13|E| | |name= }}. The town is emerging as a tourist resort. It has an interesting fort. There are two major resorts in Barka, the Al-Sawadi resort and the Al-Nahda resort. In addition, a new quarter is now under construction in Barka called "Blue City" which is located in Suwadi.

Indian School Al-Seeb
Indian School Al Seeb, located in the Sultanate of Oman, was established in 2002 and is registered by the Central Board of Secondary Education of India. The kindergarten-to-grade-12 school has an enrollment of about 2,500 students, and moved into its own building (dedicated by Anil Wadhwa, Indian ambassador to Oman, on 30 September 2007) on 1 October 2007.

Sultan Qaboos University
Sultan Qaboos University, located in Al Khoudh in the Muscat Governorate, is the only public university in the Sultanate of Oman. Most students entering the university are selected based on their performance in high school final examinations. Student enrollment has grown from 500 in 1986 to more than 10,000 in 2005. More than half of the students live off campus due to space constraints. It currently has around 15,357 students of which 7,942 are female students and 7,415 are male students.

Waljat Colleges of Applied Sciences
Waljat College of Applied Sciences (WCAS) is one of Oman's leading tertiary institutes. It was established in October 2001 by H.E. Dr. Omar Bin Abdul Muniem Al Zawawi in academic partnership with Birla Institute of Technology (BIT, Mesra), India, one of India's premier universities. It is the second International Centre of BIT, Mesra. It provides education in the specialized branches of Engineering, Information Technology and Business Administration.
