Al Wajajah

Al-Wajajah or just Wajajah is the busiest of the four ports of the Sultanate of Oman bordering the United Arab Emirates. Al-Wajajah is located in the Al-Batinah administrative division of Oman. The town is 90 minutes by road from the city of Dubai, one hour from the Omani town of Sohar and three hours from Muscat, the capital of Oman. A tourist visa to visit Oman can be obtained at the Wajajah check-post for residents of the United Arab Emirates travelling by road.

Shinas

Shinas, population 43,312 as of 2005http://www. world-gazetteer. com/wg. php?x=1116711798&men=gcis&lng=en&gln=xx&dat=32&geo=-166&srt=npan&col=aohdq, is a coastal town in northern Oman, near the border between Oman and United Arab Emirates. Shinas has a distinctive collection of traditional buildings. The port of Shinas has dhows that are still operated and generate profits from fishing and exporting fresh seafood to the neighbouring Dubai for restaurant use.

Hatta, United Arab Emirates

Hatta is a sheikhdom in the Hajjar mountains. It is an exclave of the Emirate of Dubai, UAE, to the south-east of its main territory. Its capital town is also named Hatta, which includes a reconstructed heritage village by the same name. Hatta is about 115 km east of Dubai City. Because of its altitude, Hatta has a milder climate than the city of Dubai, making Hatta a popular vacation place for Dubai residents.
