1990 Luzon earthquake

The Luzon earthquake occurred on Monday, July 16, 1990, at 4:26 PM local time in the Philippines. The densely populated island of Luzon was struck by an earthquake with a 7.8 Ms (surface-wave magnitude). The earthquake produced a 125 km-long ground rupture that stretched from Dingalan, Aurora to Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija as a result of strike-slip movements along the Philippine Fault and the Digdig Fault within the Philippine Fault System.

Raid at Cabanatuan

The Raid at Cabanatuan, also known as The Great Raid, was a rescue of Allied prisoners of war (POWs) and civilians from a Japanese camp near Cabanatuan City, in the Philippines. On January 30, 1945, during World War II, United States Army Rangers, Alamo Scouts, and Filipino guerrillas liberated more than 500 from the POW camp. After the surrender of tens of thousands of American troops during the Battle of Bataan, many were sent to a Cabanatuan prison camp following the Bataan Death March.

Fort Magsaysay

Fort Ramon Magsaysay, also known as Fort Magsaysay or Fort Magsaysay Military Reservation (FMMR), or Fort Mag, is the largest Military Reservation in the Philippines, and is one of the key training areas of the Philippine Army. Fort Magsaysay is located in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

Constancio Padilla National High School

This public secondary school in San Jose, Nueva Ecija was established in 1944 with 321 students enrolled and with only a few teachers. Classes in those times were held in make shift rooms constructed of bamboo and talahib. Other classes were conducted in unoccupied first floors of residential homes. Through the cooperative efforts of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) and the community, an eight hectare lot was acquired and purchased through funds they were able to raise.
