Interesting facts about this location

Constancio Padilla National High School

This public secondary school in San Jose, Nueva Ecija was established in 1944 with 321 students enrolled and with only a few teachers. Classes in those times were held in make shift rooms constructed of bamboo and talahib. Other classes were conducted in unoccupied first floors of residential homes. Through the cooperative efforts of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) and the community, an eight hectare lot was acquired and purchased through funds they were able to raise.

Central Luzon State University

Central Luzon State University or CLSU is a state university located in a 658-hectare campus in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. The University is the lead agency of the Muñoz Science Community and the seat of the Regional Research and Development Center in Central Luzon. 1990 Luzon earthquake

The Luzon earthquake occurred on Monday, July 16, 1990, at 4:26 PM local time in the Philippines. The densely populated island of Luzon was struck by an earthquake with a 7.8 Ms (surface-wave magnitude). The earthquake produced a 125 km-long ground rupture that stretched from Dingalan, Aurora to Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija as a result of strike-slip movements along the Philippine Fault and the Digdig Fault within the Philippine Fault System.
