Japanese destroyer Asakaze (1922)

Japanese destroyer Asakaze was the second of nine Kamikaze-class destroyers built for the Imperial Japanese Navy following World War I. Advanced for their time, these ships served as first-line destroyers through the 1930s, but were considered obsolescent by the start of the Pacific War.

Tambacan, Iligan

Tambacan is one of the 44 barangays of Iligan, a city about 795 kilometres southeast of Manila in the Philippines. It is south of Iligan's central business district, Barangay Poblacion. Tambacan is bounded by Barangay Poblacion and Tubod River on the north, Iligan Bay on the west, Barangay Mahayahay and Tubod River on the east and Barangay Tubod on the south and southwest.

USS Harder (SS-257)

, a Gato-class submarine, was the first ship of the United States Navy to be named for the harder, a fish of the mullet family found off South Africa. One of the most famous submarines of World War II, she received the Presidential Unit Citation. Her skipper, the resolute and resourceful Commander (Cmdr) Samuel D. Dealey (1906–1944), "a submariner's submariner", was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
