Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat

Lutayan is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Sultan Kudarat, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 40,881 people in 7,110 households. This lakeside town shares the lake with its neighboring municipality, Buluan, Maguindanao. Lutayan was carved out from Buluan in 1966. The first appointed mayor was the wife of the then-mayor of Buluan, a royalty from the Rajah Buayan Sultanate, Bai Linilang Mangelen.

Paglat, Maguindanao

Paglat is a municipality in the province of Maguindanao, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 5,832 people. The first appointed mayor was Bai Zulaika Pendatun-Langkuno, however, her appointment was recalled by then ARMM Governor Nur Misuari to give way for her cousin Datu Conte Mangelen, son of the then Congressman Datu Luminog Mangelen of Cotabato Province. Paglat, as the smallest municipality in Maguindanao, carved out of Gen. S. K. Pendatun.
