Luboń

Luboń is a town situated on the Warta River, in the Poznań metro area, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship (since 1999). It was previously in the Poznań Voivodeship (1975-1998). It has 29,301 inhabitants (2010). The neighbourhood of Żabikowo (former German Zabikowo, called Poggenburg by the Nazis) in the north-west of Luboń was the site of a Nazi prison camp in 1943–1945, which replaced the Fort VII camp in western Poznań.

31st Tactical Air Base

The 31st Tactical Air Base is the biggest military unit of Polish Air Force. Unit was created in 2008 as a result of fusion of three previous units: 31st Air Base, 3rd Tactical Squadron and 6th Tactical Squadron. Unit operates two squadrons of F-16 C/D fighters (16 planes in each squadron) and two Mi-2 utility helicopters. Currently operates F-16 fighters only. Previously the 31st Air Base (Polish: 31.

31st Air Base

The 31st Air Base (Polish: 31. Baza Lotnicza) is a Polish Air Force base, located in Krzesiny, part of the Nowe Miasto district of Poznań. It is the first base to host the recently acquired F-16 fighters. The base was officially constituted on 31 December 2000, and since then has been the home base for the 3rd Tactical Squadron.

Puszczykowo

Puszczykowo is a town in Poznań County, Poland, with 9,177 inhabitants (2004). It is located about 12 km south of Poznań, the area is surrounded by the Wielkopolski National Park (located within the park buffer zone). In the years 1934-1954 there was a rural village Puszczykowo. In the years 1975-1998 the town administratively belonged to the regional capital Poznań.

Adam Mickiewicz High School in Poznań (VIII Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu) is a high school in Poznań, Poland founded by the priest and patriot Czesław Piotrowski in 1924 and named after the poet and patriot Adam Mickiewicz. Some notable alumni include Anna Jantar, Ryszard Grobelny, Maria Pasło-Wiśniewska and Marcin Libicki. The most notable teacher was until recently the poet and writer Bogusława Latawiec.
