University of Madeira

The University of Madeira is a Portuguese public university, created in 1988 in Funchal. It houses the following departments and autonomous sections. The university offers first and second cycle academic degrees in a wide range of fields, in accordance with the Bologna process. It is now under the CMU/Portugal agreement with Carnegie Mellon University, having master program of Human Computer Interaction and Entertainment Technology.

Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute

The Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (Madeira-ITI) was founded in December 2009 as collaboration between the University of Madeira, Madeira Tecnopolo, and Carnegie Mellon University. Attached to the University of Madeira, the institute conducts research in computer science, more specifically human-computer interaction. It offers two Masters programs, in Informatics Engineering and the Professional Master of Human-Computer Interaction.

Praia Formosa

The Praia Formosa is a beach on the Portuguese island of Madeira. It is also the fashion district of Funchal where it is one of Europe's most visited summer locations. Estádio dos Barreiros

Estádio dos Barreiros is a multi-purpose stadium in Funchal, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home stadium of Club Sport Marítimo and although much larger in its hey-day, the stadium is now able to hold just 8,922 people. The stadium itself is rather distinctive in design and shape.
