Fontes is a Portuguese parish, located in Abrantes Municipality, in Santarém District. The parish has a population of 819 inhabitants and a total area of 28.48 km². The parish is located in the northern part of the municipality, neighbouring the parishes of Carvalhal, to the east, Souto, to the south and borders Vila de Rei Municipality to the north. Carvalhal (Abrantes)

Carvalhal is a Portuguese parish, located in Abrantes Municipality, in Santarém District. The parish has a population of 1,006 inhabitants and a total area of 17.45 km² (6.74 mi²). Once, the parish population was composed by a large number of woodcutters, due to its location in a densely forested area. However, since the 1980s, the economic importance of the forest has been declining. The zone is usually affected by several wildfires during the summer.
