Lala Tulpan

Lala Tulpan ("Tulip in Bloom") in Ufa is one of Russia's largest mosques. Its 53-metre-tall twin minarets are the third tallest in the country after the Akhmad Kadyrov Mosque in Grozny and the Qolsharif Mosque in Kazan. The building can hold up to 1000 worshippers. It was built between 1990 and 1998 to a modernist design by Wakil Davlyatshin. In 2001 Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Talgat Tadzhuddin and other Muslim clerics at the mosque.

Ufa Arena

The Ufa Arena is a 8,250-seat multi-purpose arena in Ufa, Russia that opened in 2007. It has replaced Ice Palace Salavat Yulaev as the home of Kontinental Hockey League ice hockey team, Salavat Yulaev Ufa. The first events in the arena were the first two games of the 2007 Super Series, a hockey series between Canada and Russia juniors.

Ufa River

Ufa River is a river in the Urals, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Sverdlovsk Oblast, and the Republic of Bashkortostan; a tributary of the Belaya River. It is 918 km in length. The area of the basin is 53,100 km². It freezes up between late October and early December and stays under the ice until April–May. Pavlovka Hydroelectric Station is situated on the Ufa River. Its water is widely used for water supply. Main ports are Krasnoufimsk and Ufa (at the mouth of the river).
