Mglin

Mglin is a town and the administrative center of Mglinsky District of Bryansk Oblast, Russia, located on the Sudynka River 167 kilometers west of Bryansk. Population: 7,916; 8,261; 7,704. Mglin was first mentioned in 1389, though the settlement it was built on had existed since the 12th century. Its main landmark is the Assumption Cathedral (1815–30, Neoclassicism). Ethnically, it is mixed town. Ukrainians, Belorussians, and Russians live here.
