Trubchevsk

Trubchevsk is a town and the administrative center of Trubchevsky District of Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is situated about 95 kilometers south of the city of Bryansk. Population: 15,014; 16,342; 16,301. An old Severian town, Trubchevsk is first mentioned as Trubetsk in East Slavic manuscripts describing the events of 1164 and 1183, although the locally 975 is regarded as the year of its foundation.

Zhukovka

Zhukovka is a town and the administrative center of Zhukovsky District of Bryansk Oblast, Russia, located on the left bank of the Desna River 56 kilometers northwest of Bryansk. Population: 18,269; 19,731; 19,706. It was founded in 1868 as a railway station on the Oryol–Riga railroad, better known as Riga — Oryol Railway. In following years the settlement grew around the Zhukovka station. The 43-kilometer branch line leads to Kletnya. Town status was granted to it in 1962.

Seredyna-Buda

Seredyna-Buda is a city in Sumy Oblast of northeastern Ukraine, the administrative center of the Seredyno-Budskyi Raion. Population is 7,500 (According to the 2001 Census). It is located on Bryansk to Konotop branch line, railroad station is Zyornovo. Seredyna-Buda was founded in the 17th century by Old Believers migrated from Russia. It has had town status since 1964.

The area of the district is 1,843.2 square kilometers . Its administrative center is the town of Trubchevsk. Population: 37,002; 41,690; 45,000. The population of Trubchevsk accounts for 40.6% of the district's total population.
