North Caucasian Federal District (Russian: Се́веро-Кавка́зский федера́льный о́круг, Severo-Kavkazsky federalny okrug) is one of the eight federal districts of Russia. 2003 Znamenskoye suicide bombing

The Znamenskoye Grozny suicide bombing happened on May 12, 2003, in Znamenskoye in Chechnya, when three rebel suicide bombers, including two women, drove a truck bomb into a local government administration and the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) directorate complex, killing at least 59 people and injuring about 200, mostly civilians. The complex contained the republican headquarters of the FSB.

Znamenskoye, Chechen Republic

Znamenskoye is a rural locality in Nadterechny District of the Chechen Republic, Russia. Population: 10,286; 9,620; 6,141. On May 12, 2003, a car bomb exploded at a government building here, killing fifty-nine people. On July 15, 2005, another car bomb killed fifteen.
