The Great Tsivil (Russian: Большо́й Циви́ль, Bolshoy Tsivil'; Chuvash: Мăн Çавал, Măn Şaval) or simply Tsivil in its lower course (also spelled Civil) is a river in Chuvashia, Russian Federation, a right tributary of the Volga River. Tsivil is 55 km long, its watershed area is 4,658 km . Near Tsivilsk the Little Tsivil joins the Great Tsivil, forming Tsivil river, which flows into the Volga near Novocheboksarsk.
