Tsivilsk
Tsivilsk is a town and the administrative center of Tsivilsky District of the Chuvash Republic, Russia, located 37 kilometers from the republic's capital city of Cheboksary, at the crossroads of the highways from Nizhny Novgorod to Kazan and from Tsivilsk to Ulyanovsk. The Great Tsivil (Russian: Большо́й Циви́ль, Bolshoy Tsivil'; Chuvash: Мăн Çавал, Măn Şaval) or simply Tsivil in its lower course (also spelled Civil) is a river in Chuvashia, Russian Federation, a right tributary of the Volga River. Tsivil is 55 km long, its watershed area is 4,658 km . Near Tsivilsk the Little Tsivil joins the Great Tsivil, forming Tsivil river, which flows into the Volga near Novocheboksarsk. Other major tributaries are Unga and Kunagar Rivers.
