Kilpola

Kilpola is an island 6 x 8 km among the skerries in the northwestern part of the Lake Ladoga, in Lakhdenpokhsky District of Republic of Karelia, connected to the mainland by a bridge. It is composed of granite hills rising up to about 60 m. above sea-level (55 m above the level of the lake) and covered by Scots Pine forest. There are several lakes on the island.

Elisenvaara

Elisenvaara is a settlement in Lakhdenpokhsky District of the Republic of Karelia, Russia, and an important station of the Vyborg-Joensuu railroad. The station is also linked by railway to Savonlinna, Finland. The settlement has an approximate population of 686 people. The settlement grew around the railroad junction, with railroad connections to Vyborg, Sortavala, Lappeenranta and Savonlinna.

Lake Yastrebinoye

Lake Yastrebinoye (lit. Hawk Lake; Finnish: Haukkajärvi, lit. Hawk Lake) is a 2 km long lake in Priozersky District of Leningrad Oblast, close to the border with the Republic of Karelia, in the northernmost part of the Karelian Isthmus, 10 km from the railway station Kuznechnoye. The lake is situated in a depression between steep outcrops of granite rocks of the Baltic Shield, which are a popular climbing area.

Kuznechnoye

Kuznechnoye is an urban locality in the northern part of Priozersky District of Leningrad Oblast, located on the Karelian Isthmus. Population: 4,458; 4,738; 5,017. Kuznechnoye developed around a large granite quarry and processing plant (now belonging to JSC Granit-Kuznechnoye). Kuznechnoye is also an important station of the Saint Petersburg-Khiytola railroad, being the final destination of many passenger trains coming from Finlyandsky Rail Terminal of St.
