Svanevatn

Svanevatn (Finnish: Salmijärvi, lit. "Swan Lake") is a lake on the border between Norway and Russia. The Norwegian branch is situated in Sør-Varanger municipality in Finnmark county. Svanevatn has an area of 32.51 km², a circumference of 66.21 km and a height of 21 metres.

Svanvik Church

Svanvik Church is a parish church in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Svanvik in the Pasvikdalen valley, along the river Pasvikelva, right on the border with Russia. The church is part of the Sør-Varanger parish in the Varanger deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The wooden chapel was built in 1934 and it was consecrated on 5 September 1934. Pasvikdalen had finally gotten its own place of worship.

Melkefoss hydroelectric station

Melkefoss power station is a hydro electric dam on the Paatsjoki river in the Sør-Varanger municipality in Finnmark, Norway. The power station, which is owned by Pasvik Kraft, makes use of a fall of 10 meters in the river. Although the power station is located on a river, Lake Inari is regulated as storage for all of the power stations in the drainage basin. The dam has one installed Kaplan turbine, yielding 26 Megawatts. Mean yearly production at the dam is 129 Gigawatt hours.

Klistervatnet

Klistervatnet is a lake that lies on the border between Norway and Russia. The 17.2-square-kilometre lake lies on the river Pasvikelva and it is about 10 kilometres long and 2 kilometres wide. The lake is located north of lake Bjørnevatnet.
