Krechevitsy Airport

Krechevitsy is an air base located 11 km northeast of Veliky Novgorod, Russia. It contains 30 large revetments in a sprawling taxiway pattern, suitable for large transports. It was home to 110 VTAP (110th Military Transport Aviation Regiment), of the 61st Air Army, flying Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft. However, 110 VTAP was disbanded in 2009.

Vyazhishchsky Monastery

The Nikolo-Vyazhishchskii Stavropegial Women's Monastery (Russian: Николо-Вяжищский Ставропигиальный Женский Монастырь) also known as the Vyazhishche or Vyazhishschky Monastery is a convent located in the village of Vyazhishche, 7 miles (12 km) NNW of Veliky Novgorod. The monastery was founded in by the monks Efrosiny, Ignaty, and Galaktion and the hieromonk Pimen at the end of the fourteenth century (a charter from 1391 mentions it), with Pimen becoming the first hegumen of the monastery.

Krechevitsy

Krechevitsy is a microdistrict (since 2004) of the city of Veliky Novgorod, Russia. It is located remotely (some 15 km north-east) from the city centre, on the left bank of the Volkhov River. Population: 3,363.

Maly Volkhovets River

The Maly Volkhovets is a right (eastern) armlet of the Volkhov River in Novgorodsky District of Novgorod Oblast in Russia. It splits from the Volkhov 2 kilometres below its outflow from the Lake Ilmen, bypasses the city of Veliky Novgorod (so that the eastern part of the city is situated on an island), and rejoins the Volkhov north of the Khutyn Monastery. It is 17 kilometres long. The Vishera River, one of the Volkhov's principal tributaries, is a tributary of the Maly Volkhovets.
