Park Avenue (Парковый проспект, "Parkovyy Prospekt") is the name of a street in Dzerzhinsky District in the city of Perm, Russia. The street was formerly named Voroshilov Avenue after Soviet military commander and statesman Kliment Voroshilov.

Perm Mosque

The Perm Central Mosque (Пермская соборная мечеть) was built in 1902 and 1903 in the Tatar district of Perm, Russia. Its construction was financed by the local Tatar merchant families. The striped green-and-white building with a tapering minaret was designed by Alexander Ozhegov. For some years it was the northernmost mosque in the world. After the Russian Revolution the mosque was shut down. The building was used for storing the Communist Party archives between 1940 and 1986.

Lame Horse fire

The Lame Horse fire occurred on December 5, 2009, around 1 a.m. local time in the nightclub Khromaya Loshad (Russian: «Хромая лошадь», "Lame Horse") at 9 Kuybyshev Street, Perm, Russia. The fire started when sparks from fireworks ignited the low ceiling and its willow twig covering. The fire quickly spread to the walls and damaged the building's electrical wiring, causing the lights to fail. More than 150 people died.
