Sviyazhsk railway station

Station Sviyazhsk - Gorky Railway Station in Sviyazhsk. Enters into the Department of Railway Stations, a subsidiary of Joint Stock Company "Russian Railways". The station is located on the Moscow - Kazan - Yekaterinburg at a distance of 752 km from Moscow. From the station to the south line goes in Buinsk and going to the Kuibyshev Railway - in Ulyanovsk. The station is located on the right bank of the Volga River at the intersection with the highway M7 (in this case prior to 1998).

Sviyaga River

The Sviyaga is a river in the Ulyanovsk Oblast and Tatarstan, a right tributary of the Volga River. It has a length of 375 km. The area of the basin is 16,700 km². The Sviyaga River flows into the Sviyaga Cove of the Kuybyshev Reservoir, west of Kazan. It freezes up in November-December and stays under the ice until April-May. Major tributaries are Arya, Bula, Karla, Kubnya, and Tosha rivers. The city of Ulyanovsk is located on the Sviyaga River.

Nurlatsky District, Tatar ASSR

Nurlatsky District or Norlat District was a district of the Tatar ASSR that existed in the 1920s–1960s. It was established as Nurlat-Achysarsky District on February 14, 1927. Its administrative center was the village of Nurlaty. On August 1, 1927 it was renamed Nurlatsky. On February 1, 1963, the district was abolished and its territory merged into Zelenodolsky District.
