Udomlya
Udomlya is a town and the administrative center of Udomelsky District of Tver Oblast, Russia, located 225 kilometers north of Tver, on the Rybinsk–Bologoye railway. Population: 31,061; 31,961; 30,751. It was founded in 1869 as a settlement around the railway station of Troitsa. Urban-type settlement status was granted to it in 1961. In 1974, construction of the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant started in Udomlya. Town status was granted to Udomlya in 1981.

Tvertsa River
Tvertsa is a river in the Tver Oblast in Russia, a left tributary of the Volga River. The Starotveretsky Canal (2,9 km in length) is considered Tvertsa's riverhead, which connects the river with the Vishnevolotskoye Reservoir. The latter drains up to 80% of its water from the Tsna River into the Tvertsa. The Tvertsa River freezes up in November - early January and stays under the ice until late March - April. The towns of Torzhok and Vyshny Volochyok are located on the Tvertsa River.
