Upolu
Upolu is an island in Samoa, formed by a massive basaltic shield volcano which rises from the seafloor of the western Pacific Ocean. The island is 75 kilometres long, 1,125 km in area, and is the second largest in geographic area as well as the most populated of the Samoan Islands. Upolu is situated to the east of the "big island", Savai'i. The capital Apia is in the middle of the north coast with Faleolo International Airport at the western end of the island.

Atua (district)
ATUA is the most ancient district of Samoa, now consisting of most of the eastern section of Upolu but also traditionally incorporates Tutuila and once all of Upolu and Savaii. The head of the district is the sub district of Aleipata (Ao)Eastern part, The back at Lufulufi Anoamaa northern part, The Tail or I'u at Falealili at the south western end of Atua. The district has a population (2001 Census) of 21,168. The paramount lineage is the Tui Atua line.

It is in the electoral constituency of Vaimauga East (faipule district) which forms part of the larger political district of Tuamasaga. The population of Fagali'i is 1,571 (2006 Census). The former Apia-Fagali'i Airport site and the Royal Samoa Golf Course are both located nearby.
