Peca (mountain)

Peca or Petzen is the highest mountain of the Eastern Karavanke range, the second highest mountain of the Northern Karavanke, and the most eastern two-thousand-metre (over 6,562 ft) mountain of Slovenia. It is a mighty mountain with a characteristic shape of a tableland with rocky peaks protruding from it. The mountain borders the Mežica Valley and the Topla Valley to the south and east, and the Jaun Valley to the north, and is separated by a narrow valley of the Bela creek from Hochobir.

Rinka

Rinka Falls is a waterfall in the Logar Valley, in the Municipality of Solčava in Slovenia. It is the source of the Savinja River. It has been proclaimed a natural heritage feature. Rinka Falls is one of the most beautiful and best-known waterfalls in Slovenia. It is also a popular tourist destination. With its drop of 105 metres, it is the highest of the 20 waterfalls in the Logar Valley. The longest step has a length of 90 m . It is visited in all seasons of the year.

Dreta

Dreta is a river in Lower Styria, Slovenia. The river is 29 kilometres in length. Its source is near Črnivec Pass in Kamnik Alps. It flows through the town of Gornji Grad, Bočna, and Šmartno ob Dreti, and merges with the Savinja River in Nazarje.

Logar Valley (Slovenia)

The Logar Valley (Slovene: Logarska dolina, Logarjeva dolina) is a valley in the Kamnik Alps, in the Municipality of Solčava, Slovenia. The Slovene name for the valley is of relatively recent coinage and is derived from the Logar farm, which in turn is derived from Log (literally, 'swampy meadow'). In 1987, the valley received protected status as a landscape park encompassing 25 square kilometres .

Battle of Poljana

The Battle of Poljana (Monday May 14 – Tuesday May 15, 1945) was a battle of World War II in Europe. It started at Poljana, near the village of Prevalje in Yugoslavia, and was the culmination of a series of engagements between the Yugoslav Partisans and a large retreating Axis column, numbering in excess of 30,000 men.
