Kandija Bridge
The Kandija Bridge or the Old Bridge (Stari most) is an iron bridge in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. It connects the old city core on the left side of the Krka River with Kandija, the historical suburb of Novo Mesto, on its right side. The bridge is situated at the lower part of the Main Square. It was built in 1898 to replace the old wooden bridge from 1600, located tens of metres up the stream. The opening took place on 23 November 1898.

Novo Mesto Cathedral
Novo Mesto Cathedral (Slovene: Novomeška stolnica, novomeška stolna cerkev) or Saint Nicholas' Cathedral (Stolnica sv. Nikolaja) in Novo Mesto is the seat of the Diocese of Novo Mesto and a landmark of the town. The stone-built church is located on a hill above the Krka River. Until 7 April 2006, when the Diocese of Novo Mesto was established, it was a chapter church. Therefore, it is also known as the Saint Nicholas' Chapter Church (Kapiteljska cerkev or simply Kapitelj).

Novo Mesto Grammar School
The Novo Mesto Grammar School (Slovene: Gimnazija Novo mesto) is a public secondary school for both, boys and girls, located in Novo Mesto in the region of Lower Carniola, Slovenia. It was founded in 1746 by the Habsburg ruler Maria Theresa of Austria and initially run by Franciscan monks. In 1870, the school became a state school and the current school building was built in 1912. The school, the oldest in Slovenia, is the largest of the four grammar schools in Novo Mesto.

Otočec Castle
Otočec Castle is a castle hotel on a small island in the middle of the Krka River in Otočec, Slovenia. It is the only water castle in Slovenia. The castle was first mentioned in documents in the 13th century, although the walls are said to date to the more precise date of 1252. It was once owned by Baron Ivan Lenkovič, the chief commander of the Croatia-Slavonia march. Author Ivan Tavčar has set two of his novels at the castle, Otok and Struga and Janez Sonce.
