Montagu Pass

Montagu Pass is situated in the Western Cape province of South Africa, on the Regional road between Herold and George. The pass was named after John Montagu, Colonial Secretary of the Cape in the 1840s, whose enthusiasm for good roads resulted in the first ambitious program of construction in Southern Africa. This pass was damaged by floods in November 1996, and was closed for most of 1997. It has been repaired and is now open.

George, Western Cape

George is a city in South Africa's Western Cape province. The city is a popular holiday and conference centre and the administrative and commercial hub of the Garden Route. The city is situated halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the Garden Route. It is situated on a 10 kilometre plateau between the Outeniqua Mountains to the north and the Indian Ocean to the south. The township of Pacaltsdorp lies to the south.

Garden Route Botanical Garden

The Garden Route Botanical Garden located in George, Western Cape and borders the Outeniqua Nature Reserve. The Garden focuses on plants native to the Southern Cape region. It also houses the Southern Cape Herbarium.

Outeniqua Park

Outeniqua Park is a multi-purpose stadium in George, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for rugby union matches and was the home stadium of the South African leg of the IRB Sevens World Series from 2001 through 2010, after which it moved to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. The stadium is also the home of the SWD Eagles rugby team who compete in the Currie Cup. The stadium is able to hold 10,000 people.

Twee Rivieren

Twee Rivieren is a small residential suburb in George, South Africa. It is located in the northern area of the city between Denneoord to the north and Bo-Dorp to the south. "Twee Rivieren" is an Afrikaans name, meaning "Two Rivers" in English. Its name is derived from its location, nestled between two branches of the Kat River.
