Montagu Pass

Montagu Pass is situated in the Western Cape province of South Africa, on the Regional road between Herold and George. The pass was named after John Montagu, Colonial Secretary of the Cape in the 1840s, whose enthusiasm for good roads resulted in the first ambitious program of construction in Southern Africa. This pass was damaged by floods in November 1996, and was closed for most of 1997. It has been repaired and is now open.

Kaaimans Rivier Pass

Kaaimans River Pass, Afrikaans: Kaaimansgat), is a mountain pass situated in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. It is located above the Kaaimans River on the road between George and Wilderness. The road of this pass, named the Seven Passes Road was built by Thomas Charles John Bain and his brother Adam de Smidt in 1867 and was used for over one century.

Highgate Ostrich Show Farm

The Highgate Ostrich Show Farm is an ostrich farm located 10 kilometres south of Oudtshoorn in South Africa. This large farm specializes in the breeding of ostriches and is open to visitors providing specialized information about the various stages of the birds development, provided with the opportunity to visit young offspring and an ostrich pen. Whilst it mainly focuses on the development of the ostrich, tourism is an important source of income and keeps the farm running.
