Besora Castle

Besora Castle is a castle located in the Vall de Lord, in the municipality of Santa Maria de Besora, between Navès and the Serra de Busa, in the comarca of Solsonès in the province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. The castle is built above a rocky spur at an altitude of 1,092 m, and was accessible only by a path from the north, duly fortified. It is formed by three extended buildings, today converted into a rural dwelling in the local style, the masia.

Castle of Cardona

The Castle of Cardona is arguably the most important medieval fortress in the Principality of Catalonia. It is situated on a hill overlooking the river valley of the Cardener and the town of Cardona. The fortress was initially constructed by Wilfred the Hairy in 886. It is in both the Romanesque and Gothic styles, and includes the so-called Sala Dorada and Sala dels Entresols.

Church of Sant Vicenç

Saint Vicenç is Catalan-Lombard style church in Cardona, Catalonia, Spain. It is located at the top of a fortified hill. Starting from the 11th century, stone churches, some as a part of Benedictine monastic complexes, began to be built in the area. The earliest of these stone churches had wooden trusses supporting the roofs. The church of St. Vincent was begun about 1020 and consecrated in 1047. The building material is cut stone.

Solsona Cathedral

The Cathedral of Solsona is a cathedral in Solsona, Catalonia. The apse, in Roman style, probably dates from the twelfth century.
