University of Lleida

The University of Lleida is a university based in Lleida, Spain. It was the first university in Catalonia and the whole Crown of Aragon. It was founded between 1297 and 1301, probably with the name of Estudi General in the style of other Universities founded at that time (such as the University of Valencia), and closed down through a royal law or "Real Cédula" in 1717 along with the banning of the rest of Catalan Universities and the original political institutions of Catalonia.

University Hospital Arnau de Vilanova

The University Hospital Arnau de Vilanova (officially, Hospital Universitari Arnau de Vilanova in Catalan) is a public medical institution in Lleida, Catalonia, Spain, and the biggest one in the surrounding area (terres de Lleida or terres de Ponent) and province. It was opened in 1956. Not to be confused with a hospital in Valencia called Hospital Arnau de Vilanova, the hospital in Lleida is run by the Catalan Health Institute (ICS) and has a total of 447 beds.

Pavelló Barris Nord

Pavelló Barris Nord (Catalan for Northern Neighborhood Pavilion) is an arena in Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. It is primarily used for basketball games and the home arena of CE Lleida Bàsquet. Its construction began on June 1, 2001 and was opened on October 4, 2001. From an initial capacity of 5,500 people, after being remodelled in summer of 2003, its new capacity is of 6,100 seats.

Camp d'Esports

Camp d'Esports is a multi-use stadium in Lleida, Catalonia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Lleida Esportiu. The stadium holds 15,000 seats, and the dimensions for the football field are 102x68 meters. The construction of the stadium begun in 1918 and finished in 1919. It underwent extensive renovations in 1993 and 1994.

Gran Passeig de Ronda, Lleida

Gran Passeig de Ronda is one of the main thoroughfares in the city of Lleida. It stretches from Plaça d'Europa towards Avinguda de l'Alcalde Areny on the bank of the river Segre, by the Pont Nou. It's located in one of the areas built ex nihilo after the destruction of the Spanish Civil War. Demographically, it separates upscale quarters of the primarily middle class areas such as middle class areas from the working class neighbourhoods of La Mariola and Instituts-Templers and Gardeny hill.
