Ullackalie Lagoon is a lagoon in Trincomalee District, eastern Sri Lanka. The lagoon is fed by a number of small rivers including Verugal Aru and Uppu Aru. It is linked to the sea by a narrow channel to the south. The lagoon's water is brackish. The lagoon is surrounded by evergreen forest and scrubland. The land is used for subsistence fishing. The lagoon has extensive mangroves. The lagoon attracts a wide variety of water birds including ducks and other shorebirds.

Muttur (Sri Lanka)

Muttur or Mutur is a town in the Trincomalee District of Sri Lanka and it is located about 25 km South of Trincomalee, on the Southern side of the Trincomalee Harbour. In Tamil it translates to 'Ancient village'.

North Eastern Province, Sri Lanka

The North Eastern Province was one of the provinces of Sri Lanka. The province was created in September 1988 by merging the Northern and Eastern provinces. This merger was declared illegal by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2006. The province was formally demerged into the Northern and Eastern provinces on 1 January 2007. The capital of the province was Trincomalee.

Ralkuli Bridge

Ralkuli Bridge is a road bridge in eastern Sri Lanka. The bridge was formally opened on 19 October 2011. The bridge is 175 m long. The bridge cost 571 million rupees and was financed by a soft loan from the French Development Agency's Trincomalee Integrated Infrastructure Project and the Sri Lankan Government's Kilakku Vasantham (Eastern Awakening) programme. The bridge is part of the A15 Batticaloa-Trincomalee highway.
