Puruduwella

Puruduwella, meaning "Sand area where training is done" in Sinhala, is a small village in Sri Lanka. It belongs to Mahawewa divisional secretariat in Puttalam District in North Western Province. There is river called Kadupiti Oya in one boundary of the village. There are also two buddhist temples Pushparamaya and Subadraramaya in the village.

Lansigama

Lansigama is a village that located near the coastal area of North Western Province in Sri Lanka. The Lansigama name was originated in the early 19th century, due to the large number of mixed raced Sinhalese Portuguese ethnic descendants who used to live in this area. In the Sinhalese language Portuguese are called “Lansi” and village is called “Gama”. So our ancestors believe that is how this name “Lansigama” originated.

Joseph Vaz College

The Joseph Vaz College of Wennappuwa (commonly known as Joseph Vaz College) was founded in January 1935. It is considered to be a leading Public School in Sri Lanka.
