Aanandapuram is a small village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Puthukkudiyiruppu AGA division, Mullaitivu District, Northern Province. The village is notable as the place where the Battle of Aanandapuram, one of the last major battles in Sri Lankan Civil War was fought.

Puthukkudiyiruppu is a small town in the Mullaitivu District of Sri Lanka. There are four main roads which lead to Mullaithivu in the east, Paranthan towards west, Iranaipalai towards north and Oddusuddan towards south Most of the villagers are farmers and there is a significant proportion of people do fishing too. Until 1990s when there was a massive influx of people from Jaffna district. The small government dispensary with two wards became one of the main hospitals in Mullitivu district.
