Borlänge Municipality

Borlänge Municipality (Borlänge kommun) is a municipality in Dalarna County in central Sweden, with an area of 586.4 km². The municipality has a population of 47,640 (2007). The municipal seat is Borlänge. The present municipality was created in 1971 when the City of Borlänge (itself instituted as a city in 1944) was reunited with the rural municipality of Stora Tuna, from which it had been detached in 1898.

Runn

Runn, is a lake in Dalarna in central Sweden, between the cities of Falun and Borlänge. Runn has many islands and is popular for recreational boating in the summer. In winter, Runn is popular for Tour skating and over 30 km of skating trails are plowed on the ice. Every February, 'Runn Winter Week' is held with many ice skating activities, including marathon Speed skating competitions.

Domnarvsvallen

Domnarvsvallen is a football stadium in Borlänge Municipality, and the home arena for IK Brage and Dalkurd FF. Domnarvsvallen has a total capacity of 6,500 spectators. The arena is mostly in wood, and was built in 1925 when IK Brage was founded.

Giving the students extensive freedom of choice of higher education. Since 2002 Soltorgsgymnasiet have had an exchange-agreement with Lycée Léon Bourgeois in Épernay for teacher and the students reading French and an exchange with a school in Magdeburg for the students reading German.
